Red Line SG is a community of Chicagoans who love soccer and are dedicated to growing the game. We’re committed to swelling the supporters’ ranks for our city’s teams—professional and amateur—while expanding access to free, organized pickup soccer across Chicago. Whether you’re cheering for the Fire, Red Stars, or local clubs, there’s a place for you in the Red Line.
The Red Line Supporters Group believes first and foremost that Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world and that it's soccer community should reflect that.
The supporters sections for the professional teams should be packed, coordinated, and able to create intimidating atmospheres for visiting teams and supporters. The local amateur teams should enjoy robust support from their neighborhood communities. Every Chicagoan should have access to organized pickup soccer that is free to join and open to everyone. We are committed to the work it takes to get our community there and to providing a platform for citizens of this great city to find their place to put their shoulder to the wheel.

RLSG is dedicated to building a community for all Chicago soccer fans. We believe that requires work in service of all four of our foundational pillars:

All that is required to be a RLSG member is to choose any level of monthly dues and follow these three rules:
​
- No bullshit. This means no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, violence, etc.
- Support Chicago soccer. We're not here for fans of one of our foundational pillars that try to knock down any of the other three.
- Stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other supporters and SGs. The Red Line is great, but there are other great supporters group and individuals. We strive to keep a collaborative relationship with all of them.

RLSG member dues are set by the individual. We have some members that contribute $1 a month and others that contribute $20. All dues levels are accepted and collectively they pool together to allow us to operate with a consistent monthly stream of revenue. This allows us to make sure there's cold beer at every tailgate, equipment to manage pickup games, fabric and paint for the supporters sections, and seed money for merch, events, and other member-led initiatives. Every dues-paying member of the Red Line, regardless of amount, has an equal say in how we operate. When at all possible RLSG decides major moves by holding a vote amongst dues members. ​​
